The District Health Information System provides an efficient and user friendly platform to support the monthly and quarterly reporting requirements of the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Health. Officials at hospitals, clinics and district and regional offices are able to set monthly and quarterly performance targets and to capture actual performance against targets. The system also includes a Patient Satisfaction Survey and Patient Waiting Time Survey. The reporting modules support the reporting requirements of the Department’s Monitoring and Evaluation Division. The system includes a management interface to customise user access and content, making it fully configurable in relation to data elements, programs and components.
