The National Skills Fund (NSF) portal is a web-based learner information management system. The system is made up of a number of modules that support the business processes of the NSF, as administered by Bigen Africa Services. The system tracks the progress of more than 400 registered learners. Each learner has access to the system and is able to create his or her own account and to maintain their information. The system includes a learner facilitator module to manage information and links between facilitators and learners for progress updates. Also developed were communications, maintenance, enquiries and reporting modules to meet the needs of learners, facilitators and administrators.
